Bus overturn in Mississippi results in seven fatalities and multiple injuries

A tragic incident on Interstate 20 near Bovina in Warren County, Mississippi, resulted in the death of seven people, including a six-year-old boy and his 16-year-old sister, in a bus overturning. The Warren County Coroner identified the victims, while authorities are working to identify the remaining victims. The incident occurred early Saturday morning when a 2018 Volvo commercial passenger bus travelling westbound left the roadway and overturned. Thirty-seven passengers were transported to various hospitals with unknown injuries. Sheriff Martin Pace described the situation as tragic with multiple fatalities and injuries involved. Most of the passengers on the bus were identified as Latin American. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the incident and has not released the names of the deceased victims. The co-driver was not transported for injuries. This devastating accident has left the community in mourning and authorities are working to piece together the events leading to the tragic loss of life.
