A manhunt is underway for Joseph A. Couch, a suspect in a mass shooting near a highway in Kentucky that left five people seriously injured. Deputies are searching for Couch, who is described as armed and dangerous, in a remote wooded area near the scene of the shooting on Interstate 75. The shooter’s actions were described as “sniper-like” and a “random act,” with victims from both Kentucky and out of state. The shooter was not in a vehicle at the time of the shooting. An AR-15 believed to be the weapon used in the shooting was found in a wooded area near Couch’s vehicle, along with a gun case and charged magazines. Law enforcement is actively searching for Couch, who is considered dangerous, with around 50 to 60 members participating in the search. The motive for the shooting is currently unknown, and the victims are in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing, and residents are advised to stay vigilant.
