The war in Ukraine continues to rage on as Russia launches deadly attacks on civilian areas. In the latest developments on September 9, 2024, at least three people were killed in an airstrike in the Donetsk region, while two more lost their lives in a separate attack in the Sumy region. The death toll also rose to 58 in a missile attack on a military institute in Poltava.

The Ukrainian military reported heavy fighting in the Pokrovsk sector, with 29 attempted Russian advances being repelled.
