Iran has accused Israel of carrying out a “criminal” attack in central Syria, resulting in the deaths of 18 people. Israel has rejected the UN court’s opinion calling its occupation illegal, stating that a political settlement can only be reached through negotiations.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes in central Syria have killed at least 14 people, with a major military research center believed to house Iranian military experts being targeted. The strikes have also caused fires in multiple areas in Syria. In Gaza, schools have been bombed or turned into shelters, leaving many children without access to education.
In response to the ongoing crisis, the director of Northern Gaza’s hospital has warned that critical medical supplies are running out and the hospital may be forced to close within 48 hours. The healthcare system in Gaza has been devastated by Israeli airstrikes, with dozens of hospitals damaged or destroyed.
Israeli leader Benny Gantz has called for a shift in focus towards Hezbollah and the Lebanese border, stating that Israel should concentrate on the north. The ongoing violence has also led to protests in Israel against the government’s handling of the crisis. Additionally, a recent agreement between the Qatar Red Crescent and UN agency Unrwa aims to aid Palestinian workers and patients stranded in Gaza.
