Big 12 Football Week 4 Recap: The Highlights and Low points – Heartland College Sports

In Week 4 of Big 12 football, teams showed both promising performances and areas for improvement. The Good: Oklahoma State came out strong with a 31-20 victory over No. 25 Kansas State, showcasing their offensive prowess and solid defense. Iowa State also had a strong showing, defeating UNLV 48-3 behind an impressive offensive display. Additionally, Texas Tech bounced back from a tough loss last week to defeat Florida International 54-21, highlighting their offensive firepower.

However, there were also some less-than-ideal performances in the Big 12 this week. The Bad: TCU suffered a disappointing 42-38 loss to SMU, struggling to contain the Mustangs’ offense and failing to capitalize on red zone opportunities. West Virginia also struggled, falling to No. 4 Oklahoma 16-13 in a close game that saw their offense struggle to find a rhythm.

And then there was the Ugly: Kansas continues to struggle, losing 52-22 to Duke in a game that saw their defense give up big plays and their offense struggle to find consistency. The Jayhawks are now 1-3 on the season, raising questions about their ability to compete in the Big 12.

Overall, Week 4 of Big 12 football showcased a mix of impressive performances and areas for improvement for teams in the conference. Oklahoma State, Iowa State, and Texas Tech all had strong showings, while TCU, West Virginia, and Kansas will need to regroup and address their weaknesses moving forward. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how these teams continue to develop and compete in the competitive Big 12 conference.
