The game was one-sided from the start, with West Virginia surging to a 21-7 lead in the first seven minutes. They continued to extend their lead throughout the game, with Small leading a 12-0 run to make it 39-17. The Mountaineers held a comfortable lead throughout, eventually finishing with an 86-43 victory. West Virginia’s depth was on display, with reserve Jake Auer hitting two three-pointers to cap the game at 82-38. This win was a bounce-back performance for the Mountaineers after a tough loss to Pitt, and they will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming games.
