The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is introducing new technology on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Castle Rock to restrict drivers from using the express lanes outside of the designated areas. The implementation will start on December 1, with a 30-day warning period where drivers will receive a warning in the mail. After January 1, fines will be imposed for violations. The system will be deployed on all of Colorado’s tolled Express Lanes.
