The 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to return on Nov. 28, featuring 22 big balloons, 34 floats, 7 balloonicles, and more. The parade route will begin on West 77th Street & Central Park West at 8:30 a.m. ET and end at Macy’s flagship store on 34th Street at 12:00 p.m. ET, with 2.5 miles of designated public viewing areas along the route. This year’s parade will feature performances from stars like Jennifer Hudson, Lea Salonga, T-Pain, Rachel Platten, and more, as well as appearances from members of the New York Liberty and characters from Broadway musicals. There will also be six new balloons, six new floats, and three new balloonicles making their debut in the parade. To see the balloons being prepared for flight, the public can visit the Upper West Side on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST for a behind-the-scenes look at parade preparation.
