Track and Field Unveils Indoor Schedule for 2024-25 Season


West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the track and field team have announced their 2024-25 indoor schedule. The Mountaineers will kick off their campaign at the YSU Icebreaker in Youngstown, Ohio on December 6, before heading to the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Massachusetts on December 7. They will then compete in various meets including the YSU Collegiate Invitational, Nittany Lion Challenge, Penn State National Open, and the Sykes & Sabock Challenge.

The team will also send athletes to Boston for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The regular season will conclude with the Penn State Tune-Up and the Terrier DMR Challenge/Last Chance Meet. The Mountaineers will then move on to the Big 12 Indoor Championships hosted by Texas Tech and the NCAA Championships in Virginia Beach.

Head coach Mike Trotter expressed excitement for the upcoming season and is confident in the team’s abilities. The Mountaineers will be looking to build on their past successes and compete at a high level in these prestigious competitions.
