Badminton star PV Sindhu is set to tie the knot with Venkata Datta Sai on December 22 in Udaipur after announcing her wedding shortly after winning the Syed Modi International title. The wedding festivities will begin on December 20, with a reception in Hyderabad on December 24. Sindhu, who has had a successful career winning medals at the Olympics, World Championships, and Commonwealth Games, has already started sending out invitations with Sachin Tendulkar being the first recipient.
The wedding is expected to be a grand affair with top celebrities and members of the Indian badminton community in attendance. Sindhu’s fiancé, Datta Sai, is an IT professional and Executive Director at Posidex Technologies with a background in Data Science and Machine Learning. He had a brief stint with an IPL franchise as a summer intern.
The couple recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the invitation, sparking rumors that the PM may attend the wedding. The guest list is yet to be revealed, but it is anticipated that many sporting stars and political figures will be present at the event.
