Hyatt’s lifestyle-centric all-inclusive brand is making its way to the Dominican Republic.

Hyatt has been making significant strides in the all-inclusive resort industry in recent years, with the acquisition of Apple Leisure Group in 2021 and the launch of new all-inclusive brands like Hyatt Vivid. The brand is set to open its second resort, Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic by the end of 2025.

Hyatt Vivid focuses on experiential travel, offering locally inspired itineraries and amenities geared towards modern and diverse guests. The resort will feature a spa, gyms, a healthy snack and juice bar, sports facilities, and various dining options including a sports bar and a jazz club.

In a departure from its Cancun location, the Punta Cana property will also have a convention center. Antonio Fungairino, Hyatt’s head of development for the Inclusive Collection, expressed excitement about strengthening the Hyatt Vivid brand portfolio and reinforcing the Dominican Republic’s status as a top hospitality destination.

In addition to the upcoming Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, Hyatt is also opening several other resorts and hotels in the Dominican Republic, including Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, and Secrets Tides Punta Cana, as well as a Hyatt Centric in Santo Domingo.

With these developments, Hyatt is solidifying its position as a leader in the all-inclusive resort segment and expanding its presence in the Caribbean region to cater to travelers seeking high-end hospitality experiences.
