West Virginia University’s football staff is eyeing multi-sport athlete Tilden Riley V as a potential future tight end. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound athlete from South Carolina received an offer from WVU’s tight ends coach Michael Nysewander earlier this week. Riley shared the news on social media, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity.
Riley, a student at Orangeburg Preparatory School, already holds seven Division I offers from schools such as East Carolina, FAU, Liberty, Pitt, USF, and Virginia Tech. His most recent offers from FAU, USF, and Virginia Tech came in just this week, adding to his growing list of options. Riley has visited Virginia Tech multiple times and attended Junior Day at ECU in February.
During his junior season in 2024, Riley recorded impressive stats with 49 receptions for 903 yards and 13 touchdowns, as well as 215 rushing yards for a total of 1,118 yards from scrimmage. In addition to football, Riley is also involved in basketball and baseball at his high school.
Despite still seeking more national recognition, Riley’s talent has caught the attention of college football programs, with WVU being the latest to extend an offer. For more news and updates on WVU football, fans can visit WV Sports Now for comprehensive coverage.
