The West Virginia University gymnastics team achieved a season-high road score of 195.0 in a dual meet against BYU in Provo, Utah. The Mountaineers finished second to BYU, who scored a 195.675. This marked WVU’s first score of 195.0 or higher on the road this season and their second 195.0+ score of the year.
Brooke Alban led the team with a season-high matching 9.8 on bars, while Carlee Nelson and Emerson Smith achieved career-high scores on vault. Anna Leigh shined on floor with a 9.925, her third 9.9+ score this season. In the final event rankings, Smith tied for third on vault, Alban tied for third on bars, and Leigh finished first on floor.
