The West Virginia Polymer Alliance Zone (PAZ) has expanded to include Ohio, Marshall, and Wetzel counties, making it the largest regional economic development organization in the state. The inclusion of these three counties expands PAZ’s footprint to 10 counties along the Ohio River. The Regional Economic Development Partnership, which includes the three new counties, aims to create business opportunities and stimulate the economy in West Virginia by generating new jobs.
President Keith Burdette stated that the addition of the three counties aligns with PAZ’s mission of attracting investments and creating new jobs for West Virginia citizens. Josh Jefferson, president and CEO of the Regional Economic Development Partnership, expressed excitement about the collaborative partnership and the opportunities it will bring for success. PAZ’s goal is to expand the manufacturing base in the region and create new, well-paying jobs. The partnership with RED will help strengthen PAZ’s marketing efforts and reach new prospects.
