West Virginia Wraps Up Regular Season with Game Against Cincinnati


The No. 18-ranked West Virginia University women’s basketball team is gearing up for their final regular season game against Cincinnati on Saturday, March 1. The Mountaineers, with a 22-6 record, will face the Bearcats inside the Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on the Mountaineer Sports Network and ESPN+.

West Virginia, on an eight-game winning streak against Cincinnati, is hoping to secure their fifth straight win on the road. The team is led by senior guard JJ Quinerly, junior guard Jordan Harrison, and junior guard Sydney Shaw in scoring production this season. Additionally, they have an impressive defensive record, with a streak of 61 straight games forcing 15+ turnovers.

A win against Cincinnati will mark the third time in 13 seasons that WVU reaches 13 Big 12 conference wins in a season. The team has been strong on both ends of the court, averaging 76.0 points per game while boasting the second-highest turnover margin in the nation. Senior guard JJ Quinerly is climbing the all-time scoring list for the Mountaineers, currently sitting at No. 5 with 1,906 points.
