Jeremy Winston, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound wide receiver from Rome, Ga., has received a scholarship offer from West Virginia University. After a discussion with wide receivers coach Ryan Garrett, Winston was impressed with his overall skill set, particularly his ability to go get the ball out of the air and translate his basketball IQ onto the football field.
Winston plans to visit West Virginia soon, but is also considering other schools and taking several visits. While he is familiar with former players like Tavon Austin, he is eager to learn more about the school and coaching staff in the coming weeks.
Winston had a successful season, with 34 receptions for 703 yards and 10 touchdowns, displaying his ability to make plays down the field with an average of 20.67 yards per catch. He is looking for a program where he can build a relationship with the coaching staff, have access to great nutrition and strength coaches, and be part of a winning team on the field.
