In Wheeling, Ohio County Commission Office and other county offices on the second floor are being relocated as part of a $12 million renovation project at the City-County Building. Melissa Marco, project coordinator for the county, stated that the completion of the fourth- and fifth-floor upgrades will be done soon. The relocation will allow the courts to move back into their offices and shift focus to the second floor and county offices. Employees will be relocated for about three months during the renovations. The County Prosecutor’s Office and the courts will remain open on the second floor for now, and measures will be taken to maintain public access. The next Ohio County Commission meeting is scheduled for March 18 at 6 p.m. The renovation project is progressing in phases, with plans to hold upcoming commission meetings in the second-floor courtroom. The county is working to ensure minimal disruption in government services during the construction process.
