Head coach Tim Flynn expressed his excitement for the opportunity for his athletes to qualify for the NCAA Championships and potentially win a Big 12 title. The team is coming off a victory against Arizona State, bringing their season record to 10-7. Five Mountaineers have earned seeds for the championships, with Peyton Hall leading the way as the No. 2 seed in the 165-pound bracket.
Last season, West Virginia’s Ty Watters secured an individual title at the conference championships, leading the team to a sixth-place finish, the best in program history. The team also had a record seven Mountaineers on the podium.
Tickets for the event can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the BOK Center Box Office, with all-session tickets priced at $37.
