Street and Jones have been elected as the new leaders of the WVU Student Government Association


West Virginia University’s Student Government Association (SGA) Judicial Court has officially certified Colin Street as president and Rozaireo Jones as vice president for the 2025-26 academic year. Street, a Foundation Scholar and Honors College member, is a sophomore pursuing a triple major. Jones, a journalism and multidisciplinary studies major, serves as a senator for the WVU College of Creative Arts and Media.
Both Street and Jones have ambitious plans to expand health resources, establish peer-advising opportunities, and collaborate with various student organizations. The election was held with in-person voting and on WVUEngage, with 12 senators-at-large and 26 college senators also elected to the SGA. The inauguration event for the new leadership will take place on April 13 at the Erickson Alumni Center. Thanh Le, Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, expressed confidence in the new leaders and the positive energy they brought to the campaign trail.
