The Mountaineers Conclude Regular Season with Away Game Against Cincinnati

The West Virginia University women’s tennis team is wrapping up its 2025 regular season with a match against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m. ET. West Virginia has struggled recently, losing their last three matches. Graduate student Julie Bousseau leads the team in singles play with seven victories, supported by seniors Mille Haagensen and Michaela Kucharova, redshirt junior Maja Dodik, and freshman Laura Villanueva Morillo, who also have multiple wins this season. In doubles, Kucharova and Villanueva Morillo boast an 8-4 record to lead the team.

West Virginia has historically had success against Cincinnati, with an 11-7 all-time record dating back to 1978. The Mountaineers defeated the Bearcats 7-0 last season. Fans and supporters are encouraged to contribute to the Tennis Sport Enhancement Fund to help support the student-athletes and coaches with equipment purchases, team travel expenses, recruiting costs, and other operational needs.
