The West Virginia University wrestling team has been recognized as a Scholar All-America Team by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), with a 3.45 GPA. This is the first time since 2021 that the Mountaineers have received this honor. Additionally, eight wrestlers from the team were named NWCA Scholar All-Americans for the 2024-25 season, which is a program record. Among the honorees are redshirt sophomore Ian Bush, senior Michael Dolan, and freshman Mason Kernan, among others.
West Virginia has had a successful run in recent years, with at least three NWCA Scholar All-Americans for the past five consecutive years. The team is now looking to continue this trend and maintain their academic excellence.
Fans are encouraged to support the Wrestling Sport Enhancement Fund to help provide the athletes and coaches with the resources they need to succeed. Donations go towards equipment purchases, team travel, recruiting costs, and other operational expenses.
