West Virginia Mountaineers Complete Sweep of UCF with 4-3 Victory
ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 17 West Virginia University baseball team secured a thrilling 4-3 win against UCF on Sunday, completing a three-game sweep at John Euliano Park. This victory marks the Mountaineers’ fourth consecutive Big 12 sweep, elevating their overall record to 37-5 and 16-3 in conference play. In contrast, the Knights now stand at 23-20 and 6-15 in the Big 12.
Graduate student Jack Kartsonas showcased remarkable resilience, pitching 6.2 innings, allowing three runs, and striking out five, despite a depleted bullpen. Junior Ben McDougal followed with a stellar performance, delivering 2.1 perfect innings and earning his first save of the season.
