West Virginia Football Secures SEC Offensive Line Talent
West Virginia University football has bolstered its offensive line with the addition of Texas transfer Malik Agbo, marking the second SEC offensive lineman to join the Mountaineers this spring. The announcement came via social media on Sunday, further solidifying the program’s commitment to enhancing their front line under head coach Rich Rodriguez, who has now recruited four offensive linemen from the SEC since his appointment in December.
Agbo, a former four-star recruit in the Class of 2022, brings significant experience despite not starting at Texas. He participated in 30 games over the past two seasons, contributing primarily as a blocking tight end in jumbo packages. His notable performance includes a six-yard catch during the 2024 Sugar Bowl. Agbo enters Morgantown with two years of eligibility remaining.
He joins fellow SEC transfers, including Josh Aisosa from Oklahoma, and previously enlisted Kimo Maka’neole from LSU and Ty’Kieast Crawford from Arkansas. With the spring transfer portal window still open, the Mountaineers are also pursuing grad transfer Will O’Steen from Jacksonville State. Fans can expect continued updates on West Virginia football as the team enhances its roster.
