Several Mountaineers Ink Undrafted Free Agent Contracts

Press Release

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – April 28, 2025

Several West Virginia University (WVU) football players have secured undrafted free agent contracts following the NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Among those signing are long snapper Austin Brinkman with the Houston Texans, wide receiver Garrett Greene (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), defensive back Garnett Hollis Jr. (Tennessee Titans), and defensive linemen TJ Jackson II (Seattle Seahawks) and Fatorma Mulbah (New York Jets). Tight end Kole Taylor is heading to the Cincinnati Bengals, while offensive lineman Nick Malone and outside linebacker Ty French have received rookie minicamp invites from the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers, respectively.

Additionally, offensive tackle Wyatt Milum was the only Mountaineer selected in this year’s draft, going 89th overall in the third round to the Jacksonville Jaguars. This marks the third consecutive year a WVU player has been drafted, continuing a strong legacy with 17 players chosen in the last 18 years.

Defensive tackle Sean Martin, considered a top undrafted edge rusher, has not yet announced his signing status. Notably, former WVU player Beanie Bishop made the Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster as a rookie last season, demonstrating the potential for recent graduates to make an impact in the NFL.
