Wyatt Milum Selected by Jacksonville Jaguars in NFL Draft

MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – April 25, 2025 – West Virginia University’s offensive lineman Wyatt Milum has made a significant step in his football career, being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the NFL Draft held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Milum was chosen as the 89th overall pick, continuing a noteworthy trend of Mountaineer offensive linemen entering the NFL. This follows recent selections like Colton McKivitz in 2020 and Zach Frazier last year.

Prior to the draft, Milum was ranked by ESPN.com as the 169th-best overall prospect and the 11th-best offensive guard. Over his four-year tenure at West Virginia, he started 43 of 47 games at offensive tackle, contributing to a formidable Mountaineer offense that surpassed 140 rushing yards in 27 of their last 29 games. Notably, West Virginia achieved over 200 rushing yards in 18 instances over the last three seasons, and surpassed 300 yards six times.

Milum, a resident of Kenova, West Virginia, demonstrated exceptional skill, allowing no sacks in 34 of his final 36 games, including an impressive two-year span without conceding a single sack. His talents did not go unrecognized; he was named a Consensus All-American during his senior year, receiving first-team honors from several prestigious organizations.

NFL analyst Lance Zierlein praised Milum for his toughness, strength, and assignment-oriented play. While noting concerns about his arm length for tackle, Zierlein suggests that Milum is well-suited to transition to guard, emphasizing his physicality and football intelligence that could make him a starter soon.

The NFL Draft continues with rounds four through seven on Saturday.
