Dandelion Festival Celebrates Community and Veterans in White Sulphur Springs
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) – The 2025 West Virginia Dandelion Festival brought joy and community spirit to White Sulphur Springs with a weekend full of engaging activities. Kicking off Friday evening with an art show and live music, the festival featured the Dream Chaser 5K on Saturday morning, followed by unique contests, including “Walkin’ and Talkin’ like a Chicken” and turkey calling, highlighting the fun spirit of participants.
Amid the festivities, a core focus of the event was honoring veterans, with a Veterans Luncheon and a Memorial Service planned for Sunday, reflecting the festival’s values. "I chose to compete for the Miss Dandelion Festival because of its dedication to veterans," shared Raegan Brown, the reigning queen.
Community members, including Creekside Church of God and New Vision Baptist Church, actively contributed by providing free inflatables and delicious meals, reinforcing their commitment to serving locals and visitors alike.
The festival concludes on Sunday with various events, including food vendors, live music performances, and a grand parade at 5 p.m. The Dandelion Festival stands as a testament to the vibrant community spirit in White Sulphur Springs.
