Press Release: Grove City’s ShaMar Chilton Shines at West Virginia Camp
Grove City, OH – Rising star ShaMar Chilton, a 2027 edge prospect, showcased his talent at West Virginia’s recent one-day camp, where he was recognized as the fastest big man in attendance. Weighing in at 6 feet and 221 pounds, Chilton’s speed on the field came as no surprise to him.
“The energy from the coaching staff was incredible, and they provided valuable feedback that I can apply to my junior season in Ohio,” Chilton noted, expressing his gratitude for the experience.
Coaches see potential in Chilton as both an outside linebacker and a defensive end, and he impressed onlookers with his performance in the latter position, having received an invite from defensive line coach William Green.
Following his productive stint in Morgantown, Chilton left with a strong impression of the program and looks forward to nurturing his relationship with the coaching staff. The talented athlete plans to visit other schools, including Toledo, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Kentucky, and Buffalo, but he emphasized that West Virginia stands out in his mind.
“I loved WVU,” he emphasized, hinting at a potential return in the future.
