The highly anticipated best-of-three series will kick off on Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m. ET, followed by a second game on Sunday, June 8, at 6 p.m. ET. A decisive third game, if needed, is scheduled for Monday, June 9.

The Mountaineers secured their Super Regional berth by sweeping the Clemson Regional last weekend, showcasing their resilience and skill. They clinched a thrilling victory against Kentucky with a walk-off sacrifice fly by Armani Guzman and defeated Clemson 9-6 with a crucial four-run ninth inning. In the regional final, WVU rallied to overcome Kentucky 13-12 with six runs in the eighth inning. Guzman’s outstanding performance earned him the Regional MVP title.

West Virginia enters the series with an impressive 44-14 record, finishing first in the Big 12 with a 19-9 mark and capturing their second title in three years. This marks the program’s second Super Regional appearance and the inaugural for head coach Steve Sabins.

On the opposing side, the Tigers boast a 46-15 record, having won the Baton Rouge Regional. With a formidable pitching staff and standout players including Ethan Frey and Jared Jones, LSU poses a serious challenge. The winner of this weekend’s series will advance to the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, starting June 13.
