MORGANTOWN, WV – West Virginia University’s football season ticket sales are witnessing a strong increase compared to last year, with officials reporting a total of 28,054 tickets sold for the upcoming 2025-26 season as of June 5. This marks a notable rise from the 24,197 tickets sold by the same date last year, according to Matt Wells, Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs.
Overall, ticket sales are up approximately 15 percent year-to-date, edging closer to last season’s final figures with only 250 tickets left to surpass those totals. The strong sales trend reflects heightened enthusiasm among fans for the upcoming season.
The Mountaineers’ 2025-26 home schedule is set to attract local support and enthusiasm. Key matchups include the season opener against Robert Morris on August 30 at 2 p.m., followed by a fierce rivalry game against Pittsburgh on September 13 at 3:30 p.m. Other notable games include a matchup against Utah on September 27, Homecoming against TCU on October 25, Mountaineer Week game against Colorado on November 8, and wrapping up the season against Texas Tech on November 29.
