West Virginia University Unveils 2025 Men’s Soccer Schedule
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University (WVU) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has officially released the schedule for the 2025 men’s soccer season. After a successful campaign securing both the Sun Belt Regular Season and Tournament titles, the Mountaineers are gearing up for an exciting year ahead.
WVU will compete in 17 regular-season matches, with 10 games hosted at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown. Before diving into the season, the team will partake in three exhibition matches, kicking off with a road game against Georgetown on August 8, followed by contests at home against Montgomery College on August 12 and Robert Morris on August 16.
The regular season begins with back-to-back home games against Manhattan on August 21 and LaSalle on August 24. The Mountaineers will then face the formidable Akron on the road on August 29, returning home to challenge Gardner-Webb on September 3, and heading back out to confront defending Atlantic 10 champion George Mason on September 7.
A three-match home stretch at DDSS will see West Virginia battle California Baptist on September 12, James Madison on September 19 for their Sun Belt opener, and High Point on September 23. The Mountaineers will travel to Orlando to play UCF on September 28 before hosting Georgia Southern on October 4 and playing Coastal Carolina on the road on October 10.
As the season progresses, WVU will face American at home on October 14, followed by an away game against Georgia State on October 18. Two additional Sun Belt matchups are on the horizon, including a home fixture against Old Dominion and a road game at Kentucky. The Mountain State Derby against Marshall will take place on October 31, concluding the regular season on November 4 at South Carolina.
